Project Manager (Vancouver, WA)

Project Manager: Responsible for managing all elements of a range of projects, including creating the product definition, timeline, and budget, and coordinating product launch. These projects include new product development and a wide variety of special projects.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Manage projects to be on time and within budget.
2. Working with Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales and Quality lead the project team to achieve objectives. Provide leadership as needed to ensure that project action items are completed by the responsible individual.
3. Perform document control activities including PN creation, BOM creation, and BOM verification in the company's MRP software (Macola).
4. Perform competitive analysis of our competitors' products. Maintain a working knowledge of competitors' products and product features.
5. Develop and maintain a working knowledge of current and new technology of hard drives, controllers, interfaces, and data storage and security.
6. Perform technical writing, including Work Instructions and product manuals.
7. Assist in troubleshooting product problems.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING TO PERFORM JOB:
1. BS in Engineering or related field preferred; or 2 year degree in technical field
2. Two + years work experience managing projects.
3. Computer literate with applications and hardware: MS Office Suite, MS Project, computer hardware.
4. Experience with engineering and document control processes.
8. Knowledgeable in computer and technology trend; hard drives, interfaces, and data storage and security.
5. Strong leadership skills and the ability to gain consensus.
6. Excellent organizational skills; able to handle a variety of projects at once.
7. Effective written and verbal communication. Able to communicate well in English.
8. Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
9. Outstanding interpersonal, team building, and conflict resolution skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
1. Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and use standard office equipment.
2. Able to attend meetings at the office and other locations; i.e., able to travel.
3. Must have vision to read printed materials and a computer screen.
4. Must have hearing and speech to communicate--in English--in person and over the telephone.
5. Must be able to carry materials weighing up to 10 pounds.
